What if you want to save a copy of your avid project so you or a collaborator can continue editing it on another computer. Meet AAF, a file format that lets you save everything associated with your avid project and open it up later on a different system. This document from Steve Suderman shows you have to save an audio only version of your project. Remember to test your AAF file by re-importing it back into an empty avid project file to see if it works!

If you have troubles, try selecting the “Copy” parameter rather than the “Consolidate” one.
